Traditional technique, modern interpretation.
Using skills learned at the Hartford Art School, I mix both illustration and visual design disciplines to create striking and unique pieces for products and advertisements. Whether trying to capture old-fashioned sensibility, or looking to stand out in a sea of ultra minimalist design, these illustrations will provide a feeling like no other.
Every illustration starts as sketch. Meticulous research is done to fully understand the meaning of the product and its purpose.
Once the client and myself agree to move forward, traditional watercolor techniques are used to render the piece in full color, sparing no detail.
The illustration is then scanned and brought into professional editing software to add type and and finishing design elements.
